For the UnScene Festival, a two-week event showcasing Illawarra’s creative talent across music, art, photography, theatre, and more, I developed the logo, branding, illustration, and marketing collateral. The festival aimed to spotlight the often overlooked local talent, and the artwork reflected this vision. The main illustration, created in Adobe Illustrator using a Wacom tablet, featured a miner holding a lamp and accompanied by a canary—symbolising the Illawarra’s coal mining heritage and the festival’s mission to “shine a light” on the creative community. The layout for all marketing collateral was done in InDesign, tying together the visual identity for this vibrant event.
