I had the opportunity to create custom murals for Wollongong Art Gallery and Wollongong City Council, one of which became a personal favorite. The first mural, featuring a majestic Heron, was painted on a 4.8 x 4.8m canvas of aluminium panels using spray paint, gesso, and exterior acrylic paints. The challenge came from working on separate 2.4 x 1.2m panels, like assembling a puzzle piece by piece in my studio. Initially displayed outside Wollongong City Gallery, this mural later found its home on the main street of Thirroul. I also created a smaller bird-themed collection that was displayed in Pig Alley in the Wollongong Mall for a few years.
