Client: Wollongong City Council

For Wollongong City Council’s book box project, I conceptualised each box as an oversized book to reflect each suburb’s unique character. The back panel featured a stylised title page, titled Book Box by W.C. Council, with each suburb included as a nod to the area. One side of the box displayed a book spine design, and the other side simulated the book’s pages.

Each box artwork was created in Adobe Illustrator as vector illustrations for high-resolution, large format printing, ensuring consistent quality. I researched each suburb’s local features for meaningful representation, designing Koonawarra’s box with black swans for its lakeside setting, while Warrawong’s featured lilies in vibrant colours symbolising its multicultural community. 

This project also involved digital proofing and collaboration with council staff to finalise each design.
