For the skate parks at Fairy Meadow and Unanderra, I led an extensive community engagement process to design four custom concrete “skateboard” benches and two large murals. Working closely with a concrete scientist and molder, I designed eco-friendly, low-carbon concrete benches with glow-in-the-dark luminescent stones embedded in the surface for a unique effect.

To ensure the benches and murals reflected the community’s identity, I conducted workshops at two local primary schools and two high schools, where students shared their ideas and sketches, providing invaluable inspiration. This collaboration guided the designs and infused local personality into the final artwork. The benches and murals were then painted using spray and exterior brush paint, creating vibrant, enduring installations that celebrate local creativity and culture.
